General
Sensitively named, the Thorn Basstard - Flex Bass Overdrive pedal puts far-reaching, ultra-variable sound and deep control at the feet of any bassist. The expansive control panel can be tweaked every which way to fine-tune your bespoke drive sound and match it perfectly to your playing style, starting with the intuitive Gain, Damping, Headroom and Volume controls, which do everything you'd expect. The parametric Bass, Mid and Treble pots, meanwhile, hand bassists in-depth tonal management. To finish, tweak the Blend pot to balance your clean sound with the overdrive signal.
The Thorn Basstard: The Extras
So the output can be changed up at will, the Basstard also supplies a few smart little extras, including a Symmetry switch for varying the character of your overdrive, a Mid Freq switch for calibrating the mid-frequencies in one shot, and even a Class AB/A switch for quickly adjusting the dynamics and response. Ranging from the subtle to the outright obnoxious, the Thorn Basstard - Flex Bass Overdrive gets as heavy as you want it to.
