General

It this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Escape reality with the Catalinbread Galileo, the sound of Queen in a compact stomp box. The Galileo captures that regal 'Queen' sound of a Rangemaster treble-booster in a heavily overdriven Vox AC30. Brian May's iconic sound comes not only from his home built 'Red Special' guitar, but also from his use of a treble-booster. He always has this turned on and relies on it, together with his guitar settings, to create a wide range of sounds. It's almost as if the entire setup functions as a single instrument. Turning the volume control down on your guitar will produce a sparkling clean sound, while turning it up again will give you a sound perfect for creamy leads and tight rhythms - any way the wind blows.

Galileo: treble-booster with a full midrange

Galileo Galilei was the pioneer of the heliocentric world view - the idea that the earth and planets revolve around the sun at the centre of the solar system. For Brian May, everything revolves around a Vox AC30 with a treble-booster. The Catalinbread Galileo offers the same harmonic midrange without the deafening volume of a wall of amplifiers. Three controls, the Volume, Gain and Tone allow you to mimic Brian May's sound, which cuts perfectly through the mix when using this pedal in a band. Catalinbread, Galileo, Figaro, Magnifico!
