General

The noiseless Lehle Sunday Driver has two primary functions. For example, connect an electric or acoustic guitar to it along with your amplifier. In D-mode ('Driver'), the Sunday Driver now ensures that a weak signal is brought up to the input impedance level of a guitar amp and amplified neutrally. Useful if, for example, a long series of effects weakens your guitar signal. So you regain the dynamics and clarity of the original guitar sound.

The S mode of the Sunday Driver booster

The S mode of the Sunday Driver stands for 'Sunday', in other words: your guitar tone is amplified with the warmth of a sunny Sunday afternoon. Here, the impedance is multiplied by four, bringing out details not normally audible. Increase the gain with the Gain knob and the sound takes on more and more of the unmistakably sultry Sunday warmth. Thanks to the internal conversion to 18 volts, it also maximises the dynamics of any tube amp.

Wrote the following about Lehle Sunday Driver buffer and booster

Al heel wat buffers geprobeerd, maar dit is veruit de beste. Geen rare bijgeluiden, ook niet bij gebruik vooraf aan een fuzz (wellicht ook afhankelijk van de fuzz). Maakt je signaal weer helder/sprankelend en een beetje luider. Wil je meer boost, dan draai je dat er gewoon in. Voor mij het perfecte begin van m'n pedalboard!
