General

This Audix ADX60 is a so-called 'boundary' condenser microphone and possesses high sensitivity. It can be used on stage and, due to its hemi-cardioid pick-up pattern, is very suitable for recording sound sources that are within a relatively narrow area. Because of its special shape, the flat underside, it is easy to place, no tripod is needed. Besides on stages, the microphone can be used for recording stage, conferences and acoustic instruments. The Audix ADX60 requires 9 - 52 Volt phantom power and has a robust design with a die-cast zinc housing, steel grill and a 12 mm thick capsule. The microphone is equipped with a phantom power adapter and a 63.5 cm cable.

Wrote the following about Audix ADX60 cardioid boundary microphone

Momenteel heb ik deze microfoon bijna een jaar in gebruik voor mijn Cajon.
Wat een topding! Met gebruik van een LP cajon-mount system zit 'ie vast achter het klankgat.
Op die manier kan de microfoon alle tonen van de cajon met gemak oppikken en uitversterken, ideaal voor grotere evenementen, of zelfs gigs in de buitenlucht.

Niet geprobeerd als grensvlakmicrofoon voor kickdrum e.d.
