The Pearl PBC-507 Primero Box Cajon is a highly versatile instrument. Pearl made this cajon out of Asiatic pine and finished it with a matte Gypsy Brown lacquer The frontplate doesn't just show off the gorgeous wood grain, it's also designed to provide beautifully deep bass. Behind this playing surface, you'll find a set of snare wires that offer a quick response. You can even adjust the amount of snare sizzle via a small, practical snare system, allowing you to vary between a flamenco-style sound and a traditional Peruvian cajon sound. While Pearl promotes the Primero Box as an entry-level instrument, even advanced players will find plenty to like.
