General
The Schlegwerk/Schlagwerk DC400 Bass Cajonito takes the well-known Cajonito concept to a whole new level, with greater volume and, above all, more bass. Its larger size gives you a broader sound spectrum, with rich bass tones, clear snare accents and a surprising amount of dynamic range, whilst still retaining that compact, direct playing style. Ideal for anyone looking for a portable percussion instrument that really has ‘body’ in an acoustic setting.
Two playing surfaces, more character
A major advantage is that you can play the DC400 on both sides. This allows you to switch easily between different timbres: from deep, warm bass with a crisp snare response to a more pronounced quinto-like sound for accents and fills. The resonant body responds quickly and directly, ensuring that fingerstyle, ghost notes and percussive strokes come across beautifully without you having to play loudly.
Playful, expressive and ready to go
Just like the smaller Cajonito, the frame encourages creative fingering techniques and extra percussive accents. Through the sound hole, you can also create lively wah-wah effects and dynamic tonal modulations. Another handy feature is the integrated damping pad, which keeps the sound under control. Thanks to its compact dimensions, this is a top choice for travelling, small sessions, acoustic sets or as a stylish addition to your percussion setup.
