General

Leonardo's LC-2744-M is a standard-size cello that's suitable for players of all levels. It has a great sound and a stylish look thanks to its solid wood construction and flamed maple back and sides that ensure plenty of volume and excellent resonance. The instrument is finished with a satin-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer that protects the wood underneath and enhances to its good looks.

Ebony and accessories

The fingerboard and tuning pegs are both made of ebony which add to this model's playing comfort and excellent tuning stability. Leonardo have included a bow with an ebony frog and the LC-2744-M also comes with a padded carrying bag so that you can get it safely to and from lessons, rehearsals and performances.

Beginnend Cellist. Al een tijdje violist.

Instrumenten online bestellen is altijd een risico. Wegens het gebrek van een auto echter alsnog gedaan bij deze cello. De Cello kwam verpakt in piepschuim aan en zat al in zijn zachte tas. Angst voor transport was iets waar ik me ook een beetje zorgen over maakte maar de cello kwam intact aan. Hou er rekening mee dat je de kam nog moet plaatsen en de snaren moet spannen. Als je helemaal nieuw ben in de strijkinstrumenten kan dat eng zijn.
Niet bang zijn. Onthou kam in het midden van de gleufjes van de F gaten en alle snaren tegelijk stemmen. Niet 1 voor 1. Dan kan er niks mis gaan. Gebruik een app of je telefoon of zo om de juiste toonhoogte te vinden. Niet overspannen. Omdat de snaren (En instrument) nieuw zijn zal je waarschijnlijk de eerste twee weken flink vaak moeten stemmen. De snaren en instrument werken dan nog. (Oh en de kam is al op maat. Je hoeft dus niks te schuren zoals bij een nieuwe kam)

Nu ben ik al enige tijd bekend met het viool spelen en ik geef toe dat mijn ervaring met celli zeer beperkt is.. De meegeleverde strijkstok lijkt me echter niet van de beste kwaliteit. Bij een beetje spannen is de stok al bijna helemaal recht. Terwijl de haren nog niet onder de beste spanning staan. Veel haren zitten zelfs los en er mist zelfs een stuk uit de slof. Dat betekend voor mij dat de stok dus ook niet goed bespannen is. En de stress op de stok zal dus voornamelijk op een paar haren rusten. Dus die haren zullen als eerst knappen. Wat ook blijkt uit de praktijk. Steeds meer losse haren tijdens het spelen. Ik heb dus al een andere stok besteld. De cello op zich. (En ik ben nog steeds geen kenner) is best leuk om te horen. Waarom ik deze cello waarschijnlijk niet terug zal sturen. (Het is ook zo'n goede met zo'n groot ding.) Het plastic staartstuk met fijnafstemmers zijn goedkoop maar doen wat ze moeten doen. En zitten dus niet in de weg bij het stemmen of spelen.

Long story short. Leuke cello voor de prijs. Voor de tas en de stok hoef je het echter niet te doen. De stok zal niet lang meegaan. (Of ik heb net pech met mijn levering. dat kan ook)
