The Tombo MU-01 Chromatic harmonica Pink Gold has a special appearance. This comes from the pink gold coating applied to the cover plates and it matches the chrome mouthpiece beautifully. Besides the appearance, Tombo has also thought carefully about the sound. The openings have been made wider than usual, allowing more air to pass through and creating a fuller sound. This has the disadvantage that the slide has to cover a greater distance, but a solution has been found for this. The so-called Short Cross System includes a second slide on the inside that moves in the opposite direction to the first slide. In this way, equally fast playing is possible.

Tombo MU-01: 48 tones

The range of the MU-01 covers the three octaves between c1 and c4, which is 48 notes. These are played with the 12 holes and behind them the 48 precisely tuned reeds. These reeds sit in reed plates with a thickness of 1.0 mm that contribute to the full sound. The reed plates themselves are attached to a comb made of strong ABS plastic. This material is highly wear-resistant, does not swell due to moisture and therefore contributes to consistent tuning. The mouthpiece is made according to a special design that prevents the player from getting dry lips.

Tombo: made in Japan

The tombo brand was founded in Japan in 1917 and has been making harmonicas that have already gone all over the world ever since.Incidentally, the same factory also makes the Lee Oskar harmonicas. The same high quality is provided for the own-brand Tombo harmonicas. The Tombo MU-01 comes with a leather case made in Italy.
