The Perez 610 Abeto is the entry-level model from this Spanish brand's series of nylon guitars. It features a solid German spruce top, which you'll typically only find with more expensive Spanish guitars. Thanks to the spruce top, you get a brighter, more defined sound than that of the cedar model (Cedro).
Perez 610 Cedro: solid-top construction
The Perez 610 Abeto features the standard 4/4 classical guitar size, making it suitable for children from the age of ten, and of course for adults. Because it has a solid top you can expect a fuller sound than you'd get from a laminated-top guitar because solid tops deliver more volume. They also work to offer more sustain, thanks to the improved resonance of the body. Furthermore, the brightness of the spruce is nicely balanced out by the warmth that comes from the mahogany sides and back.
Looks and finish
The expert artisanship that went into making this guitar can be seen clearly in the finishing touches. Just like its bigger brothers, the Perez 610 Cedro has a sleek, no-frills finish with tasteful light-coloured body bindings and a colourful wooden rosette. The 610 Cedro is finished with a high-gloss lacquer and equipped with a set of rugged nickel-plated tuners.
