The CGS103A is a 3/4 model classical guitar from the School Guitar series by Yamaha. This nylon-string acoustic guitar is the perfect solution for the young beginner who isn't big enough for a full-sized instrument yet. Its somewhat smaller size and 3/4 string-length makes it an excellent fit for children from about the age of 8. Adults with smaller posture will also find that this is a great choice for a guitar that's easier to handle. Despite its small size though, the Yamaha CGS103A is an instrument to take seriously. It does indeed have the same sound characteristics and craftsmanship as its big brothers, and for a very attractive price!

Yamaha CGS103A: Full-Size Sound

The School Guitars series consists of diverse sizes of affordable entry-level guitars that are based on Yamaha's popular CG line of classical guitars. They use the same construction and wood types that produce the unmistakable Yamaha sound and feel. The neck is made of nato, a type of eastern mahogany. It has a comfortable width of 48 mm and is equipped with a 19-fret rosewood fretboard. The sound cabinet of the CGS103A has a real spruce top with meranti sides and back. With a depth of 84-88 mm, this guitar is slightly thinner than the 4/4 size classical guitar, though the sound is just as full and warm.

Mooie en degelijk afgewerkte 3/4 klassieke gitaar. De actie was iets te hoog wat eenvoudig te verhelpen is door de brug-kam aan te passen. De gitaar was echter ook zonder deze aanpassing reeds goed bespeelbaar. Voor een gitaar met een gelamineerde top is de klank over het het gehele bereik vrij goed en zacht met verbazend veel sustain. Deze klassieke gitaar van Yamaha voor deze prijs is een echte aanrader, vijf sterren meer dan waart!

Gekocht voor mijn zoon van 8 en die kan er prima mee uit de voeten. Komt een opvallend mooier geluid uit dan zijn vorige gitaar (onbekend Spaans merk)

Op aanraden van de gitaardocent deze gitaar gekocht voor mijn zoon van 9 jaar. Goede prijs-kwaliteitverhouding, mooi warm geluid en kan tegen een stootje. Ook geschikt voor volwassenen overigens. Zag laatst Nielson ook op een 3/4 Yamaha-gitaar spelen!

Super gitaar in z'n prijsklasse. Degelijk en mooi vol geluid. Lak springt er niet af bij elk stootje (zoals bij de goedkopere)
