General

The CG-2000 is the flagship of Tascam's CG series. It has been developed to meet the highest standards of the broadcasting industry, where optimal reliability is a necessity. To prevent it from accidentally switching off, the CG-2000 is fitted with a dual power supply and the heart of this master clock generator is an oven-controlled crystal oscillator with an impressive accuracy of 0.01 ppm. In short, this Tascam master clock generator will keep all your equipment neatly and precisely synchronised.

Tascam CG-2000: Reliably Synchronised

If you take a closer look at the rear panel of the CG-2000, you'll immediately notice the double video outputs - an extra measure to ensure reliability. You'll also find 12 Word Clock outputs, the last two of which are capable of transmitting a separate frequency that is either a quotient or a multiple of the basic frequency. Naturally, it's also possible to clock your AES/EBU and S/PDIF signals - both protocols are represented with a separate input and output. The wide variety of available protocols allows you to create complex setups that are perfectly synchronised.

A Clear Overview

The front of the Tascam master clock generator is equipped with a well-organised status display. The CG-2000 is capable of calibrating itself, and has a USB port that allows you to record an error log. A unique feature is the analyser, which enables you to measure the input signal and to adjust the master clock accordingly. Up to four of your favourite settings can be saved as presets.
