The LD Systems MAUI 5 is a remarkably mobile column PA that's available in two colours: black and white. The entire system weighs a measly 11 kg yet handles 800W peaks which, combined with the maximum sound pressure level of 120 dB, makes for more than impressive numbers. The MAUI 5 is driven by a class-D amplifier and packs LD Systems' signature sound: tight lows, a solid mid-range balance and clear, bright highs. Depending on the acoustics, you can always tweak the balance via 'Room Correction' mode.

The MAUI 5: The Options

For a system that's so compact, the LD Systems MAUI 5 offers a lot of options. First off, you can hook up a large variety of gear such as keyboards, guitars and smartphones via the jack-XLR combo, jack and mini-jack inputs. These can then be used simultaneously in combination with the microphone input and the built-in Bluetooth receiver, giving you the option to stream or even play along to your favourite music.
