When life demands an excellent quality, highly adaptable full-range speaker but you're not too keen on busting the bank, the LD Systems ICOA Series just might hide the solution. At the very least, the LD Systems ICOA 15 A is an impressive coaxial active full-range speaker, particularly when it comes to the lower frequencies, because even without an external sub, this speaker capably reproduces a solid dose of bass.

The Flexibility of the LD Systems ICOA 15 A

Next to excellent build quality, one of the most important aspects of a speaker is its sonic flexibility. That's why LD Systems have blessed this model with a coaxial design, a rotatable BEM-optimised CD horn and accurately calibrated DynX DSP presets. This means that the IOCA 15 A can be placed vertically and used as a full-range or satellite speaker or horizontally as a floor or stage monitor while the rotating horn lets you precisely project the sound in the optimal direction.

The Perfect Angle

The efficient yet mighty class-D amplifier that the speaker has been equipped with delivers 300 Watts RMS and a maximum SPL of 128 dB. To put all of that power to proper use, the above-mentioned DSP presets can be used to adapt the speaker to the acoustics of the space it's in. In total, you're given 4 presets, a 3-band EQ and a delay function, alongside two line/mic inputs with individual gain buttons and a mono-mix output. A built-in 36 mm dual-tilt stand flange can be used to mount a separately available dual-tilt stand adapter to set the perfect 0 - 5° projection angle.

I run a pair of icoa 15s with a single icoa 18 sub the sound is mind blowing and the quality and clarity is truly awesome.

Deze ICOA 15A aangeschaft, had hogere verwachtingen... Goed gebouwd, deftig afgewerkt ... maar de voornaamste vraag is nog steeds, hoe klinkt hij en dat is een ander paar mouwen. Zeer krachtig geluid vooral in de bassen en midden tonen maar in het hoog klinkt hij alles behalve clean en zuiver, eens voorbij de 10 a 12000 HZ geeft ie er de brui aan, zeer spijtig! de tweeter sucks ... heb hem dan maar terug gebracht om iets beters met een betere open hifi klank. Een gemiste kans van LD systems naar mijn mening. Met alle lof voor Bax shop hoor...
