Heb deze luidspreker met ingebouwde mixer en versterker besteld met de volgende doelen:
- als DJ monitor (hoge SPL 122 dB @ 1 meter)

Als mobile DJ kan ik soms meer microfoonkanalen gebruiken en dit apparaat biedt 3 extra microfoon ingangen welke via record out (RCA) of via monitor out (jack) op mijn DJ mixer aan te sluiten zijn. Verder ziet het er robuust gebouwd uit, is niet al te zwaar en heeft een gunstige prijs.
Het leek de ideale oplossing voor wat ik zoek. Wat echter tegen valt is de klank, alles klinkt veel te warm. Met de ingebouwde EQ krijg ik het geluid niet zoals ik het graag wil hebben. Het klinkt alsof de Qtc te hoog is. Dat wordt veroorzaakt door een kast die te klein is voor de woofer (heb veel luidsprekers gebouwd). Mogelijk dat de passieve versie, de LD Systems Mix 6 G3, beter klinkt omdat daar geen voeding, versterker en mixer in zit. Hierdoor heeft de woofer meer ruimte.
Ik denk dat dit een prima monitorluidspreker is voor een vocalist die het prettig vindt zichzelf warm te horen klinken. Als je een neutraal geluid wilt, dan zou ik deze monitorspeaker niet kopen. Ik heb deze speaker geretourneerd en ga op zoek naar een andere oplossing.
