General

Fed up with being blown away by your own sound system? You don’t deserve that. The Mackie Thrash12v2 puts the raw power and smart technology of a Mackie powered loudspeaker within everyone’s reach – loud and clear. What gives it that power? A hefty 1300W amplifier, with a 1-inch tweeter and a 12-inch woofer – that’s the trick! Plus, a sturdy plastic frame with handles to keep the weight reasonably manageable – after all, you’ll need to lift it. But it gets even better with the four built-in sound profiles (a sort of EQ). There’s a neutral profile, a DJ profile, a live/band profile (ideal for vocals) and a profile that’s perfect if you’re using this speaker as a stage monitor – with an emphasis on the mid-range.

Features of the Mackie Trash12v2

A very practical bonus is the inclusion of Bluetooth, so you can simply stream something from your phone to, say, two of these speakers at the same time. So if you had two of these speakers (they’re sold individually!), you could connect a mic to one of the speakers and loop it through to the other. If you’re a travelling speaker or singer, this is ideal in combination with Bluetooth: just put some music on and start speaking or singing! There’s a built-in limiter to prevent the audio from getting a bit too ‘enthusiastic’. Another handy feature: there’s a feedback suppressor, so you won’t have to worry about that feedback howling when you’re standing too close to a speaker with the mic.
