General
With the B-Hype series, dB Technologies have developed a range of active full-range speakers that are worthy of succeeding their popular Cromo line. This particular 10-inch speaker has been given all the latest upgrades and can deliver 260 watts of power, which is more than enough to fill any space with music.
dB Technologies B-Hype 10: the full-range for any situation
The B-Hype series has received some significant updates. For starters, the grille now covers the entire front panel of the speaker. It has a 28-bit DSP with a dual equalizer. Using the handles on top and sides, you can manoeuvre the B-Hype from just about any position. You can also use it as a stage monitor by positioning it at a 45-degree angle. The horn has been optimised to reproduce the mid and high frequencies beautifully, and provide powerful sound projection at the same time.
Compact and suitable for anything
This relatively lightweight BH-12 houses a Class-D amplifier with an SPL of 121 dB as well as two inputs for an XLR or jack. It also gives you a choice of two equalizer presets, namely Flat and Boost. Mounting this speaker on a stand is no problem thanks to the 36 mm pole mount underneath. Last but not least, this speaker has a black finish.

Ik zeul al 16 jaar een 12" actieve speaker mee als monitor. Deze heeft nu wat problemen en moest vervangen worden. Dus ging ik op zoek naar een betaalbare, lichtere en kleinere oplossing.
De DB Technologies voldeed aan die eisen en het feit dat je hem op 2 kanten als wedge kan leggen of op een paaltje steken vond ik een pluspunt. De eerste paar minuten dacht ik een miskoop gedaan te hebben, maar blijkt dat de speaker even ingespeeld moest worden. Nadien voldoet het geluid en de klank waarvoor ik de speaker kocht. Het DSP knopje geeft bij mij weinig verschil en het lijkt dat de boostfunctie de speaker alleen maar sneller in de clip duwt (laag klinkt klein beetje gepushed, beter gewoon "flat" laten) vandaar de 4-sterren-> DSP knopje geeft voor mij onvoldoende meerwaarde.
Om deze als FOH te gaan gebruiken zou ik niet doen, zelfs niet met sub, omdat je het laag er niet kan uitfilteren loop je al snel tegen de limiet aan. Ik heb liever wat meer headroom op de FOH set.
Maar voor het geld een meer dan prima DJ monitor.

Ik denk dat er momenteel weinig te vinden is dat zo compact, krachtig genoeg, goed klinkend is voor deze prijs. Ik heb 'm nu gebruikt voor keys en vocals en dat doet -ie meer dan prima.
Très bien je les recommande fin tonne super bien

Compacte speaker met zeer mooi geluid. Goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Makkelijk te vervoeren vanwege de 3 handvaten. De hoezen wat je kunt krijgen voor deze speaker zijn simpel maar gewoon goed. Ze hebben een gat op de boven kant om bij het handvat te komen, goede kwaliteit en ze geven een mooie look. Het enige minpunt is dat er alleen maar een volume regelaar op zit en geen bass of microfoon regelaar.
Ik ben zeer tevreden over deze speakers. Natuurlijk vul je geen zalen met deze speaker maar 50 personen is prima te doen helemaal met een subwoofer erbij.

Heldere strakke speaker. Zoals van DB gewend niet schel en blikkerig maar mooi hoog en warm. Gebruik hem voor huiskamer feestjes en zelfs wat grotere ruimtes. Samen met de Alto 15" TS215 subwoofer. Strak diep laag en wat minder wollig zoals de 18".
Heel heel tevreden over de sound voor dit geld.
