General
With the B-Hype series, dB Technologies have developed a range of active full-range speakers that are worthy of succeeding their popular Cromo line. This particular 12-inch speaker has been given all the latest upgrades and can deliver 400 watts of power, which is more than enough to fill any space with music.
dB Technologies B-Hype 12: A lightweight full-range that packs a punch
The B-Hype series has received some significant updates. For starters, the grille now covers the entire front panel of the speaker. It has a 24-bit DSP with a dual equalizer. Using the handles on top and sides, you can manoeuvre the B-Hype from just about any position. You can also use it as a stage monitor by positioning it at a 45-degree angle. The horn has been optimised to reproduce the mid and high frequencies beautifully, and provide powerful sound projection.
Versatile
This relatively lightweight BH-12 houses a Class-D amplifier with an SPL of 126 dB as well as two inputs for an XLR or jack. It also gives you a choice of two equalizer presets, Flat and Boost. Mounting this speaker on a stand is not problem thanks to the 36 mm pole mount underneath. This speaker comes with a black finish.

Im a DJ and I have one of these as a monitor and Im very happy with it. The sound quality and depth for the money is great. The heatsinking on these seems to be very well thought through with the 12 and 15 versions having an inbuilt fan. Ive played several long gigs with this turned up without a hitch or any hint of hitting the limiter. I run the volume at 12 oclock and adjust the volume on the booth out. Im a very happy customer!

Voor een school in het primair onderwijs zocht ik goede en betaalbare actieve luidsprekers. Na lezen en luisteren kwamen we uit op dB Technologies. Belangrijk is dat de klank evenwichtig is, niet schel en geen onnodig gebonk van over-opgepimpte woofers. Zowel zacht als luid spelend behouden de B-Hypes hun evenwicht. Ze zijn niet te zwaar dus makkelijk op statieven te plaatsen (ook voor de juffen).
Net de eerste groep-8 musical gedaan ermee en zeer tevreden!

Zeer goed geluid. Voor de bass heb je echt wel een sub nodig maar dan is het ook wel compleet. Ik gebruik ze in combi met de Devine Onyx SA12.

Goede speaker, klinkt zonder EQ al prettig zeker voor de huidige prijs.
Ze kunnen goed hard en blijven ook zuiver op hoog volume. Als je ze wilt gebruiken voor een band of DJ zou ik wel een sub aanraden.
Ze zijn makkelijk mee te nemen en niet te zwaar. Ik raad ze zeker aan.

Zeer fijne speaker, voor een zeer schappelijke prijs.
Gebruik er 2 voornamelijk als monitors, maar kleine feestjes tot een man of 75 kunnen ze ook best aan.
Draai je muziek met een zware bass, dan is een sub wel aan te raden
