Like all mixers from the VLZ4 series, the 1402VLZ4 comes with high-headroom, low-noise Onyx preamps that lend it a professional sound. Meanwhile, the mixer's high-contrast controls make all your mixing jobs a piece of cake.
1402VLZ4: Smooth Controls and a Sturdy Construction
With the 1402VLZ4, Mackie manages to combine a compact size with smooth controls and a rugged construction. Unlike the smaller VLZ4 models, the 1402 is equipped with a number of durable faders. It also features the typical road-proof metal housing with powder coating, and fully sealed knobs that keep the interior of the mixer free from dust and dirt.
Connections
In addition to the necessary microphone and line inputs, the 1402VLZ4 features a number of inserts, sends, returns and outputs. That means you're able to connect more than just microphones, guitars, keyboards, electronic drums and external audio sources. Monitor and PA speakers, external effect processors, an equalizer and compressors can also easily be plugged in. If you want, you can even install the mixer in a flight case, using optional rack ears.
