General

The Mackie Onyx12 is a versatile piece of studio gear equipped with 8 Onxy microphone preamps and five stereo line channels. So you can directly record to any connected computer, Mackie have also integrated a 12x4 USB audio interface that can even be used to record stereo mixes directly to an SD card. Meanwhile, the Onyx preamps provide up to 60dB gain, giving you ample headroom for any mikes you might want to plug in, and all of the built-in effects, playback settings and recording options are tweaked, managed and activated via the intuitive Onyx Studio Command panel.

The Mackie Onyx8: Streamlined Power

The tight control panel of this analogue mixer bears a classic Perkins equaliser-design that harks back to the British-built desks of the '60s and '70s and offers the unique perk of the same rich and warm, vintage sound. More current features include an improved filter control and minimal phase switching; a more effective semi-parametric mid-range frequency control; and a bank of built-in effects. An immediately coherent, clear-cut Studio Command section provides effect, preset, recording, and SD card or USB playback management alongside wireless Bluetooth streaming functionality.

Wrote the following about Mackie Onyx12 12-Channel Analogue Mixer

Eerst en vooral , de mixer ziet er echt vet uit .. maar helaas moet je het daar niet mee doen !
Heel wat nadelen gevonden op deze mixer .. ook de qualiteit is zeker niet wat ik er van verwacht!
Geluid is er niks op aan te merken .
Dit is echt meer een mixer voor een band die zang , bas, drum,gitaar enz. Wil op aansluiten , maar voor mijn setup met synths,drumcomputers, groovebox enz.. is dit een no go !
De eerst flop in mijn ogen is dat de fx niet werkt als je op solo drukt .. en dit is net wat een must is voor mij! Ook hoor je die klik bij het schakelen en moet de solo perfect afgestemd zijn met de master maar blijft altijd hoorbaar,zelfs in opname ..
Dan ook een rare keuze dat je gain hebt op alle kanalen maar enkel werkt op je mono kanalen?!
Mij de eerste dagen verpulverden de stickers van de mute knoppen waardoor je verblind word van de led .
Onbegrijpelijk voor deze prijs ..
Maar weer top van bax ! Altijd super service en direct toestel terug genomen . Wordt altijd super geholpen .

Mss had ik gwn een slechte vast want bij hun was model na jaren in perfecte staat

Wrote the following about Mackie Onyx12 12-Channel Analogue Mixer

Dit is mijn eerste mixer. Hiervoor gebruikte ik een Focusrite 2i4. Uiteraard goed nagedacht en onderzoek gedaan, en uiteindelijk bij de Mackie Onyx12 uitgekomen. En ik had geen betere keuze kunnen maken. Ik gebruik de mixer icm een paar drumcomputers, synths en mic en voornamelijk in jam/live-settings, en het werkt allemaal erg makkelijk.

De geluidskwaliteit van de mixer is super; loepzuiver. strak en warm. Ook de ingebouwde fx zijn erg goed, en via het paneel ook nog eens heel makkelijk in te stellen. En eerlijk is eerlijk, het apparaat ziet er ook nog eens indrukwekkend uit op mijn desk. Ik zit nog steeds in de 'uitzoekfase', maar dat is met deze mixer eigenlijk alleen maar leuk. Een geweldige mixer waar ik zeer blij mee ben, en waaraan ik nog veel plezier ga beleven!
