General
EVH introduce the 50-Watt version of the 5150III EL34 in a 1x12 combo configuration. It's the perfect amp for guitarists craving a vintage variation of the British sound of the ever-popular 5150. Next to a preamp section with seven JJ ECC83 tubes, this amp is home to two EL34 tubes in the power amp; as opposed to the two 6L6's in the regular, American-sounding version. To be able to sling all of that tube destructiveness into the world, EVH has fitted the 5150III with a Celestion-designed, 12" Custom speaker.
5150III 50W EL34 112 Combo: A Palatable Palette of British Sounds Even At Low Volume
In contrast to the classic British amps that Eddie van Halen used to showcase his well-known brown sound with back in the day, this EVH guitar amp features 3 channels that can be easily switched between using the included footswitch. This means that you can push the gain a little further or instantly summon sparkling bright cleans with a single stomp. Since each channel has its own volume and gain controls, it's possible to create gigantic tonal contrast - just don't forget to turn down the power level pot if you're in a smaller setting.
