The Koch Jupiter Junior is designed to offer the authentic sound of amp valves as well as modern ease of use, all while keeping things affordable and reliable. This 20-Watt combo boasts a hybrid design where the core is formed by two 12AX7 valves - one in the preamp section and one in the power amp section - plus a solid-state circuit that, through Koch's ATR (Authentic Tube Response) technology, gives you the feel of a fully-fledged valve guitar amp. Here, using just two valves not only keeps the price down, but minimises the risk of technical complications, making the Jupiter Junior more reliable.

The Jupiter Junior: Three Footswitchable Channels

The 20-Watt power capacity is enough for small to medium gigs and can be lowered for rehearsals or practice thanks to the built-in attenuator, all without losing out on that classic valve-style saturation. The three channels, Cool (clean), Hot (overdrive) and Hot Gain Boost can be easily flipped between using the included 2-button footswitch, while the emulated spring reverb and buffered FX loop give you plenty of ways to enhance your sound.

A Modern Amp With Vintage Looks

Don't be fooled by its vintage-style housing — the Jupiter Junior meets every modern musician's demands. As well as a 8-Ohm speaker cabinet output, Koch has mounted a dedicated recording output with a passive speaker emulation filter round the back so you can get studio-quality sound from an audio interface or plug directly into a PA system. Set up on its own, the amp delivers the warm and balanced sound shaped by a 10-inch Jensen Falcon C10-40 speaker.
