General

The affordable LX series from Laney offers small transistor combos with the authentic Laney sound. The LX15-RED certainly won't go unnoticed, thanks to its striking red colour. With 15 watts of power this combo is more than enough to get you started. Thanks to two 5-inch Custom Drivers it delivers a detailed sound that goes a long way. Should you need to practise in silence though, a headphone socket gives you that possibility.

The sweet spot

Most guitarists eventually develop their own sound as they get more experienced. With controls including a 3-band equalizer (bass, mid and treble) you can start experimenting with your own sounds straight away. The Bright switch allows you to add brightness for even more sparkle, and there are also controls for volume and gain. With the latter you can add a delicious dose of distortion for rocking out. An aux input lets you connect an external sound source too, for playing along with your favourite songs. It's almost as good as playing on the big stage!
