General
The Celestion CDX1-1730 is a 1-inch neodymium compression driver from the renowned Celestion. This powerful tweeter has a load capacity of 75 watts RMS and a sensitivity of 110 dB. Furthermore, the CDX1-1730 has a nominal impedance of 8 ohms and a voice coil diameter of 1.75 inches. The diaphragm and surround consist of a single piece of PETP film. The frequency range of the 1730 runs from 1,200 to 20,000 Hz, with best performance achieved when the driver is deployed from 2,200 Hz. The frequencies below this can be reproduced by a separate woofer, possibly together with a midrange driver in a three-way configuration.
