With a genuine 12AU7 valve mounted at its heart, the Gurus Optivalve compressor/limiter pedal brings back the classic studio-sound of yore, so you can rely on maximum clarity and full balance across the entire sonic spectrum. While it does coat your sound in sweet overtones and gives everything a light and satisfying roundness, the Optivalve resists over-colouring your sound with warmth and boasts silent operation. Everything is easily dialled in via the set of four control pots, while the LED strip (or See Thru Magic EYE) clearly monitors the compression level. Basically, this pedal is so flipping good, even David Gilmore himself keeps one planted on his board. In fact, this Italian-made treat can even form part of your keyboard rig, your synth rig or your bass rig, as well as your guitar rig.
