The high-quality, small-diaphragm DPA 2011A condenser microphone can be used for nearly any recording job - in studio as well as live situations - thanks to the wide dynamic range, rich, natural and detailed sound, and high maximum sound pressure. These properties are very much alike those of its big brother, the DPA 4011.

2011A: double diaphragm

The DPA 2011A has a wonderful balanced sound, which is provided by a high-quality MMP-A preamp and a capsule with two hand-selected miniature capsules. These two make up the Twin Diaphragm Capsule, which effectively keeps the proximity effect in check and guarantees a wide sweet spot with consistent audio quality.

Universally applicable

Its cardioid pickup pattern prevents feedback from occurring and keeps out unwanted (off-axis) ambient noise, making the DPA 2011A an ideal on-stage mic. When you are recording loud sound sources like percussion and brass instruments, you can attenuate the recording level by 20 dB via the built-in switch. The extensive dynamic range makes the DPA 2011A also highly suited for choir or orchestral recordings.
