This MT microphone by Neumann is the black version of the KM 184. Ideal for professional applications - home and commercial recording studios. Its slim body and sound properties make the 184 well suited for a range of application, especially for overhead use. Its tonal balance is fresher and more lively, compared to the KM84.

The KM 184 microphone uses 48V phantom power, producing high output and low noise. Furthermore, you are provided with a highly clear sound with very little distortion. All sensitive parts are well shielded in the capsule.

Echt een aanrader! Ben sinds kort gaan investeren in een thuis studio, akoestiek ect..maar dus ook microfoons, de 184 geeft een erg gedetailleerde opname van mn akoestische gitaar.

Wat ook prettig is, dat ik hem gemakkelijk mee kan nemen ergens anders naartoe en niet super veel ruimte inneemt:)

Echter wel, geeft mijn mic clip (die je erbij krijgt) wel beetje krasjes als ik hem eruit haal..dus heb hiervoor een andere gekocht. Maar is niet een heel groot probleem hoor.

Deze microfoon is waar voor je geld. Wanneer je weet waar je mee bezig bent en je hebt de spullen (in de zin van ruimte, preamps, monitors etc.) dan hoor je duidelijk de kwaliteit. Verwacht echter geen wonderen. Een slechte artistieke prestatie / instrument/ ruimte / positionering / preamp / mix, kan alles wat deze mic goed doet makkelijk om zeep helpen. Ook begeef je je na aanschaf in het hoge middensegment van opname apparatuur en heeft het weinig zin om alleen deze mic te gebruiken samen met voor de rest low end gear. Rode mics zijn voor mij lange tijd een fijner, goedkoper alternatief geweest. Nu heb ik wat alles betreft de lat hoger gelegd en was deze KM184 samen met een (tweedehands) U87 een fantastische aankoop!
