Its capsule is based on that on the U87 and features a cardioid pickup pattern. The acoustics are well balanced and offer excellent attenuation of ambient noise coming from the rear of the mic. Zeer nette microfoon van het welbekende merk Neumann. Een Neumann kopen stond toch wel een beetje als een droom op mijn lijstje. De microfoon wordt door een zeer grote lijst bekende artiesten gebruikt.
Voor mij was deze microfoon de opstap naar het wat serieuzere thuis studio werk en dat is hiermee zeker gelukt. Vocal opnemen is niet te vergelijken met andere microfoons, Voor de gitaar moet ik nog even de ''sweet spot'' vinden.
Ik raad de microfoon zeker aan voor iedereen die een grote stap vooruit wilt nemen voor hun thuisstudio!
