The TLM 49 is a cardioid large-diaphragm microphone with a retro look that's ideal for vocal recordings thanks to its warm timbre. It uses the legendary M49 and U47 capsules, and is fit for instrumental applications and quality home recordings.

Technical specs of the TLM 49

The capsule has a large, acoustically open grille and a boost of up to 3 dB for frequencies above 2 kHz. This studio microphone can operate at SPLs of up to 129 dB without distortion, and offers a dynamic range of 117 dB.

Its wide frequency response allows the microphone to pick up very low frequencies without distortion. Shocks, handling and wind noise are countered by the accessory EA 3 elastic suspension.

Le tlm49 est incroyable !!! Des bas médiums chaleureux, des mid très détaillés et des aigu feutrés mais toujours présent. Sur une voix féminine c’est top et sur la voix plutôt haut médium c’est parfait 👍

Très jolie objet également, c’est un tank et on sens qu’il est fait pour être utilisé pendant de nombreuses années.

un micro qui fait vraiment le taff , il apporte une chaleur et de la rondeur dans la voix qui est pour moi un gros plus ,

Een warm klinkende microfoon, met zacht en mild hoog.

Deze TLM 49 is gebaseerd op de buizenmicrofoon M49. Sommigen beweren dat deze TLM 49 nauwelijks lijkt op de M49. Gelukkig heb ik met zowel de M49 als de TLM 49 gewerkt, en kan besloten worden dat de gelijkenis treffend is: hetzelfde zachte hoog, hetzelfde warme, krachtige maar zeker niet troebele laag.
De TLM 49 reageert, door z’n solid state circuit, aanzienlijk sneller op transiënten, in vergelijking met z’n afstammeling de M49. Zoals ook te verwachten heeft de TLM 49 een lagere ruisspanning t.o.v. de buizenmicrofoon M49, en kan de TLM 49 beter overweg met hoge geluidsdruk (zo blijkt ook uit de meetresultaten), waar de M49 veel vlugger gesatureerd klinkt.
