DPA, formerly known as Bruel & Kjaer, are renowned for their high-quality studio microphones. With this vocal microphone they're taking that quality outside. It has a super-cardioid pickup pattern so that only those things are picked up that are actually in the sweet spot of the microphone.
DPA d:facto: Natural Sound
This microphone is especially well suited for live applications, as it is highly robust. It can handle SPLs of up to 160 dB! That robustness is combined with great clarity and definition, which is quite rare for non-studio mics! All sound sources that are near to the microphone, are registered clearly and realistically.
Vocalist-Proof
A condenser microphone that's used as a handheld needs a few adjustments. The head features a 3-layer pop and noise filter, which protect your microphone from noise and loud plosives. As a condenser microphone is a lot more sensitive to handling noise, it's been suspended in foam.
