Latin Percussion LP552T-RGM Richie Gajate-Garcia Tumbadora

Latin Percussion proves they keep on innovating with the LP552T-RGM Richie Gajate-Garcia Tumbadora. It's made of Romanian tilia wood, which has never before been used in the creation of a conga. However, it boasts excellent acoustic properties and a rich tone that perfectly matches the tumbadora. The shell is 30" deep and features steel rims. Furthermore, it features a 12.5" natural rawhide drumhead, which is very easy to tune thanks to the Top-Tuning system.

Romanian Tilia

Latin Percussion crafted this tumbadora from three plies of Romanian tilia wood. LP and Richie Gajata-Garcia chose this wood type for its beautifully rich tone. Originally, tilia was mainly used for building guitars. On the inside of the shell, LP applied a layer of fibreglass, to add further focus to the sound and durability to the shell itself.

Richie Gajate-Garcia

Richie Gajate-Garcia is a world-famous percussionist who regularly performs with well-known artists from all around the world. Gajate-Garcia is known for his ability to play various percussion instruments at the same time. In fact, this tumbadora is part of Richie's personal setup! With its beautifully rich and warm sound, Latin Percussion delivers yet another excellent instrument that's great for live performances. The tumbadora conga has steel rims that are perfect for attaching a percussion clamp or microphone clip, thus allowing you to create a compact yet versatile setup!
