Latin Percussion LP559T-RGM Richie Gajate-Garcia Signature Conga

General

The Latin Percussion LP559T-RGM Richie Gajate-Garcia conga was designed in collaboration with percussionist Richie Gajate-Garcia. As a world-famous percussionist, Gajate-Garcia is always looking for new sounds. Of course, this 30-inch deep signature conga was designed with great care. The outer layers of wood are Romanian Tilia, which gives the conga a beautiful warm sound, while the inside of the conga is reinforced with fibreglass for enhanced durability. The natural drum has a 11.75-inch diameter.

Tuning

Tuning the conga is child's play with the included tuning key. The natural drumhead is kept in place by a steel Top Tuning Comfort Curve II rim with tension rods attached to metal plates, which allows for quick and easy tuning. You can even tune your instrument as you're playing.

Details

The shells feature the LP Heart side plates, which prevents direct contact between the metal parts and the wood of th shell. The bottom of these plates features a rubber lining to prevent them from vibrating along with the wood. Furthermore, the LP559T-RGM is fitted with the LO ProCare Shell Protector system, which helps keep the shell safe from damage. With its dark brown finish and decorative strips, this conga allows you to play like Richie Gajate-Garcia for a remarkably attractive price.
