General

Every member of the Fazley CYM Excellence Series has been made using a B20 bronze alloy and given an ancient-looking patina finish. The beaten, hammer-patterned bell and bow of this cymbal has been broken up by a finely grooved inner and outer edge to complete a dark and tonally complex sound. This 18-inch crash has a fast response and a medium sustain that stands out in lighter playing styles.

Got this off the back of purchase of the FX timber and it certainly hasn’t disappointed and resulted in my purchase of the 16” crash.

I’d been chasing a good quality, dark sounding crash that didn’t break the bank. Prior to finding the Excellence series I’d been reliant on finding used high end cymbals for the most cost-effective solution but this range has changed my mind on that.

The sustain is great, it has lovely wash with dark tones and looks fantastic too with its aged finish.

The longevity remains to be seen, but even if it doesn’t last as long as its competitors it’s still a great cost-effective solution for a great sound. This range is going to feature prominently on my bands next album release so will be a testament to its quality and longevity (hopefully!)

Een heldere klank. Mooie sustain. De bel toon is mooi rond en snelle response op de attack.
Met een blinde test in Antwerp verschillende bekkens geprobeerd en geluisterd…..verbazend wekkend kwam deze qua toon (mooie lage sustain) een superb 16inch boven aan de top qua toon….hebben 9 verschillende geprobeerd kwam in de buurt van een Zildjian Dark K crash…maar dan een andere prijs klasse :-)

Alors pour le prix je regrette absolument pas. 100euros avec la livraison impossible de trouver mieux j'ai regarder des tonnes et des tonnes de cymbales écouter sur YouTube... Ect... Ya pas mieux pour-100e il y a rien. C'est même pas le prix d'une bonne splash chez zildjian alors franchement... Je voulais le k dark custom j'ai finalement fazley et le groupe n'y a vu que du feu...
