General

Every member of the Fazley CYM Excellence Series has been made using a B20 bronze alloy and given an ancient-looking patina finish. The beaten, hammer-patterned bell and bow of this cymbal has been broken up by a finely grooved inner and outer edge to complete a dark and tonally complex sound. This 16-inch crash has a fast response and a medium sustain that stands out in lighter playing styles.

This is the latest addition to my quickly expanding Faxley cymbal collection. Before being pointed to this brand I'd been resigned to buying secondhand as affordable quality is hard to come by.

Particular standouts for the 16" is the nice dark wash that still maintains presence in the mix. Quality B20 bronze under £100 is a no brainer, for me. Won't be changing for a long time.

A l'usage, cette cymbale supporte tous types de frappes (Balais, baguettes bois, rods bambou ou nylon) et répond très convenablement dans des micros overheads. On apprécie son son ... et son look ! A voir sur une durée plus longue ..... si avec un prix aussi attractif elle est en mesure de jouer dans la cour "des grandes" ...
