Sabian has expanded its AAX series, this time with the AAX Medium Crash Brilliant 16-inch. With its small size and high-gloss finish, this cymbal has a bright sound. Yet it is certainly not monotonous, as a new hammering method has been used for this cymbal. The hits are now more visible on the crash, and it has been given some gritty undertones. Thus, this cymbal has a full, versatile sound that is not out of place in any genre.
AAX Medium Crash Brilliant 16-inch in any style
To broaden the versatility of this cymbal, Sabian has applied a special treatment that goes by the name "Autofocus Response". The Canadians have done this to remove annoying overtones from the cymbal. However, this was not the only reason. It also ensures that all frequencies are perfectly balanced, and stay that way with any playing style. So it doesn't matter whether you're playing a quiet accent with a jazz trio or standing with a rock band at a festival and making the audience jump, this cymbal always sounds perfect.
