This is because the 18-inch Sabian NP1808B Paragon Crash was designed in collaboration with this Canadian drummer. Anyone familiar with Rush's material knows that an explosive crash is a must. That's why this cymbal is brilliantly finished and has a medium thickness. The large bell with extreme hammer pattern makes the sound harder, more extreme and a bit more complex. So all in all, this is the ideal crash for some fiercer genres and larger venues.
