Sometimes a manufacturer comes up with a great new product that's so simple, you wonder why no one has ever thought of it before. Meinl's patent-pending Cymbal Tuners fall precisely into that category. Simply place these small, powerful magnets on the top and bottom of your cymbal to change its sound. Better yet, the affect on the sound is dependent upon where the magnets are placed, giving you different options. They're also powerful enough to remain in place no matter how hard you play. In total, you get four magnets in two different sizes. The two larger magnets affect the sound more than smaller ones, of course. They even come in a handy tube with a hanging clip so you can safely and easily take them with you.

The Cymbal Tuners can be used to change cymbal properties like sustain. When they're placed close to the bell, the sustain will be reduced. The further towards the edge of the cymbal you place the tuners, the greater the reduction on the sustain will be, giving you a drier sound.
