Hohner's Big River harmonicas cannot be beat if you love authentic blues. Inspiration for this product came from the famous German brand in the history of this style of music: in the early twentieth century on the banks of the Mississippi River. Of course, no string instrument is meant here, but a harmonica. A diatonic one at that, because you can blow and suck on the Big River Harp. So two different tones can be made at the same position. So for this, each blowing hole has two reeds. With a total of ten holes, this Big River Harp by Hohner thus has twenty different reeds. These are attached to the tuning plate. Both the tuning plate and the reeds are made of copper. Combined with an ABS plastic comb, this already provides a fairly secure imitation of the authentic blues sound. However, the harmonica is only completed by the hollow cover plates with ventilation slots.
