General
The harmonica is a great way of adding flair to your blues songs, but the instrument is notoriously difficult to record. Due to the harmonica's characteristic frequency range, not every microphone is capable of properly capturing the instrument. Fortunately, Shure has developed a special microphone that will register your harmonica's output in all its glory.
Shure 520DX harmonica microphone
The 520DX - also known as the 'Green Bullet' - optimally captures the harmonica thanks to its adjusted frequency range of 100 to 5000 Hz. This dynamic microphone features an omnidirectional pickup pattern, and can easily be connected by means of its jack connector. A volume knob on the 'Green Bullet' itself allows you to adjust the volume of your own performance to match any situation.
