Shure Beta 52A: Supercardoid
The Beta 52A has a supercardioid pickup pattern which reduces background noise and feedback to a bare minimum. Its built-in stand adapter is equipped with an integrated XLR connector, so cables can easily be tucked away. If you choose to place the microphone inside your kick drum, hiding the cable is even easier. The mic's stand adapter was designed to provide a secure connection, and won't be affected by abundant vibrations. In short, optimal sound is guaranteed!

De Beta52A is niet voor niets een standaard geworden, voornamelijk als microfoon buiten de kick in het gat werkt hij zeer goed. Voor iets meer definitie, of 'klikkend' geluid heb ik hem zelf in gebruik samen met een Beta91A.
Door gebruik van deze twee microfoons in voor de kick kan je zeer flexibel en snel te werk gaan als verschillende drummers/bands een ander geluid nodig hebben.
Als je slechts één kickmicrofoon voor wilt die alles oppakt is dit mischien nit de beste optie (e602 II werkt daarvoor zeer goed, of bij rock is een D6 zeer populair, maar die laatste is niet echt mijn geluid), maar gezien zijn flexibiliteit in combinatie met een goede kick-in microfoon is een Beta52A zeer zeker aan te raden.

De Shure Beta 52A staat bekend als Kick microfoon. Maar ik heb hem aangekocht als microfoon voor mijn Bass-Amp.
De Shure Beta 52A is een uitstekende microfoon voor bass op te nemen. Zoals verwacht neemt het de lage frequenties zeer goed op, het heeft geen probleem met het opnemen van de suboctaver waar ik mijn signaal door stuur. Verder komen de mids ook heel goed door. Het is wel niet gemaakt voor de hoge frequenties, maar als bassist heb ik daar bijna nooit last van.
Een aanrader als Basmicrofoon dus.
