The Marine Band has been hugely popular with beginning harmonica players, advanced players and professionals alike for over 120 years. Among others, Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen make frequent use of this harmonica. This Marine Band Deluxe is its improved version.

The improvements

This Marine Band Deluxe has been assigned a different design by Hohner. This is to ensure a loud and consistent volume, allowing the harmonica to easily join bands as well. In addition, thanks to this design, this harmonica is also comfortable to hold. The rounded mouthpiece provides considerably more playing comfort. The Marine Band Deluxe also features new tongue profiles, which increases its lifespan. Finally, the bridge of this harmonica has been lacquered no less than three times. This is to prevent swelling. Many harmonicas today therefore have a plastic mouthpiece, but the authentic sound is created, as with this Marine Band Deluxe, by the pearwood comb, among other things.
