The Meisterklasse MS is called by Hohner the same harmonica with the highest quality. It was the first model with an aluminium comb, which was previously mainly made of (pear) wood. The Hohner Meisterklasse MS G

This harmonica is made in Germany, where it is assembled and tuned by hand. There, harmonicas are still tuned manually. This is done by auctioning the brass tongues. These are attached to the nickel tuning plate. The cover plates are made of chrome. This makes for a nice smooth and sleek design. The Meister Class plays comfortably thanks to its ergonomic design. What also comes into play is the aluminium mouthpiece. This glides smoothly along your lips. An aluminium comb, unlike most woods, is very durable, reliable and does not swell over time. This harmonica is tuned in the key of G, which is used when playing along with music in the key of D.

This series consists of five models, each with their own characteristics. MS here stands for Modular System, which means that all parts are compatible with all models. So you can put together your own Hohner harmonica if you want. A nice option for when you are looking for your own sound.
