This compact yet feature-packed bit of kit comes loaded with A&H's FPGA technology and various time-saving tools to simplify your job, if not do it for you!
Your Personal Sound Assistant
The Allen & Heath CQ-20B features a number of built-in assistants, including a Gain Assistant that automatically optimises the gain level for the preamps, countering any signal peaks in the process. Then there's the Feedback Assistant, which identifies problematic frequencies and lets you filter them out at the push of a button. Meanwhile, the Automatic Mic Mixer constantly monitors the input channels, ensuring maximum sonic clarity by getting rid of background noise. All of these helpful functions can be activated or deactivated at will, so regaining in-depth manual control is always just a small tweak away.
Intelligent Features for Superb Sound
Allen & Health have also crammed a fistful of high-quality effects into the CQ-20B, along with an FX Assistant and tools to help you dynamically incorporate them. The reverb, delay and modulation effects even come with specific presets for different instruments, and are powered by four FX engines that can run at the same time. In addition, you're set up with all essential playback and recording options, a multi-channel USB audio interface, multi-track SD card playback and recording, basic stereo recording and playback via a USB stick, and stereo Bluetooth playback.
Control and Connections
Operating the A&H CQ-20B is amazingly simple since it can be wirelessly controlled using various apps, like the CQ-MixPad for mixer control and the CQ4You app for creating personal monitor mixes.. Housed in a stagebox-style unit, it's equipped with sixteen mic/line inputs - two of which can serve Hi-Z instrument inputs and come alongside another two stereo inputs.
