General
The Mackie DL16S is a 16-channel digital mixer with built-in Wi-Fi. It's ideal for musicians and sound technicians and thanks to its compact dimensions, it's easy to transport as well. There are eight XLR inputs and eight XLR/jack combo inputs that all have Onyx+ preamplifiers and there's a headphone socket on board too. Each channel has a 4-band parametric equalizer, a high-pass filter, a gate and a compressor. There are also four stereo FX processors with reverb, delay, chorus and a flanger. The DL16S has a robust metal housing with rubber handles and is suitable for the rough and tumble of life on the road.
Mackie DL16S: wireless freedom during mixing
Thanks to the built-in Wi-Fi antenna, wireless connections can be made between the DL16S and Android or iOS devices. You can then use the intuitive Master Fader control application for mixing. It's possible to connect a total of up to 20 devices to the mixer which means that each musician can make their own headphone mix. The DL16S also has a USB 2.0 audio interface allowing you to save premixes. Background music and backing tracks can be played via the stereo return. Finally, the mixer can also be controlled via Windows and Mac with Master Fader Control 5.1.
