Zoom's LiveTrak L-20 is a digital mixer with 20 channels on board. It's ideal for a range of applications including mixing, remixing, recording and monitoring. It has powerful preamplifiers that ensure top-quality recordings and all 20 channels can be recorded to an SD card at once. The headphone output has a built-in amplifier and up to 6 monitors can be mixed via the headphone channel. The L-20 can also be used as an audio interface with Mac, Windows and iOS devices.

The Zoom LiveTrak L-20: Fast and Efficient Workflow

The LiveTrak L-20 has a 3-band mid-parametric equalizer for accurate sound adjustments and it's also equipped with a low-cut filter, a compressor, panning, a metronome and no fewer than 16 adjustable effects including delay, reverb and chorus. Up to 9 fader scenes can be saved internally. The menu system is intuitive to use allowing you to find stored projects in no time. Had eerder het kleine broertje de Livetrak L8. Die beviel zo goed dat ik nu de meer uitgebreide L20 heb aangeschaft. Daarmee kan ik mijn drumkit met closemicing en 9 mics helemaal via voldoende inputs met ieder eigen spoor toevoegen. Benieuwd naar de opnames op sd card, alhoewel ik in Cubase Daw tot nu toe altijd opnam. Nog niet bekend hoe lang het apparaat zonder problemen functioneert, daarom (voorlopig) vier sterren..

16 mono en 2 stereo sporen opnames, zowel stand alone als via usb, werkt fantastisch. Zou hem zo weer kopen.

Wat een ontzettend leuk ding. En prima te gebruiken. Primair gekocht om mijn oude Aleisis HD24 files weer te kunnen remixen. En dat gaat prima. Op het sd kaartje project aanmaken, klein stukje opnemen en de wav files vervangen door de HD24 files (met juiste benamingen). Feest! Ontzettend veel mogelijkheden voor het geld. Eén sterk min punt: als je moet opnemen in dezelfde ruimte als waar gespeeld wordt, dan klikken de knoppen te hard. Dat ga je horen in je opnamen. Tiptoetsen had veel beter geweest. Dat is echt een minpunt. De rest is feest.

Dit is top of the bill als je hier mee werkt zowel op de bühne maar ook in je studio. De mogelijkheden zijn groot en met name de combi van even snel opnemen op je sd card of je macbook eraan hangen. Met name de combi met de BT adapter maakt dat je iPad Pro ook meteen een mixer wordt met vrijwel alle mogelijkheden van de L20 Al met al een aanrader voor professional maar ook de al wat gevorderde amateur. Het wijst vanzelf de weg en op de website van Zoom en ook YouTube kun je veel vinden.
