Casio CDP-130 BK Black digital piano

General

It's hard to think of a better entry-level piano than Casio's CDP-130 BK (Black). For a remarkably reasonable price, this stylish black instrument offers all the main features you'd expect from a digital piano. In addition to a natural piano tone, the CDP-130 BK boasts a selection of other sounds, including organ, electric piano, harpsichord and strings. Its piano-size, 88-key Scaled Hammer Action keyboard offers the same hammer response as an acoustic piano, and the lower keys are heavier to the touch than the higher ones.

The possibilities of the CDP-130

The digital piano comes with a sustain pedal, so playing typical piano pieces is no problem whatsoever. This indispensable accessory makes your notes last, while you're free to strike other keys. Thanks to its compact housing, the comprehensive digital piano easily fits in your living or hobby room, but if you want to give the CDP-130 a more prominent place, you can opt to purchase the CS-44 P stand, which is separately available. It fits the piano like a glove!

The piano's additional features

If you want to hone your rhythm skills, the CDP-130's built-in metronome is the ideal tool for your practice sessions. It's also possible to increase or decrease the piano's pitch by an octave - this way, you can play in a different key without learning new chords. Connect your headphones to the headphone output, and you'll be able to practise late at night without bothering your kids, flat mates or neighbours. Would you like to add some extra flavour to your sound? The CDP-130 is equipped with reverb and chorus effects for additional space or depth. Finally, the digital piano allows you to record your own performance - via its USB port, you can transmit MIDI output to the DAW software on your PC or Mac.
