Korg XE20SP Digital Piano

General

The minimal Korg XE20SP is nothing more than a beautifully streamlined piano designed for home use. Easy to operate, great sound and a compact size. While the XE20SP comes with an expression pedal, it can also be mounted on a neat stand (sold separately). As it is, for those who aren't necessarily playing every day and don't want a permanent living room fixture, this digital piano is easily set up and put away.

Features of the Korg XE20SP

Two stunningly sampled pianos (a German and Italian model) are the primary sounds included in one sound bank while a second bank is packed with a host of other keyboard sounds. The piano bank has its own detailed polyphony of 120 while the other sounds have a polyphony of 64, and since everyone in the '90s was perfectly content with a standard polyphony of 24, there's more than enough room here. As well as the close-to-700 sounds available, you get 41 drum kits and the well-known General MIDI-sounds so that MIDI files can be played with the correct sound.

A Digital Piano with Style

Naturally, you get a selection of rhythms, to point where you could see the XE20SP as a keyboard disguised as a digital piano. It's packed with 64 styles, each of which come with two intros, four variations, two fills, a count-in, break and two endings. Playing along with your own MP3s or WAVs is also possible, there's even a sequencer to build your own compositions and the pressure-sensitivity of the hammer-action keys is adjustable.
