General

The funny thing about entry-level series like the Yahama Arius Series budget-pianos is that the models get better every year and are beginning to compare to more recent Clavinovas. In addition to the S55 you're looking at here, the latest range of Ariusses is made up by the S35, the YDP-145 and the YDP-16, where most of the differences can be found in the housings. That said, the S55 boasts increased amplification power when compared to the S35, making it perfect for even more dynamic performances. It also features a unique fold-out lid that doubles as a music rest and, sets you up with the sound of the famed Yamaha CFX concert grand piano, the supreme playing feel of a Graded Hammer 3 keyboard and countless other features.
