Yamaha offers up the FG820 acoustic guitar. Part of the FG-Series legend, this steel string boasts an excellent build, a solid spruce soundboard, and a classic, luxurious finish. One of the most popular acoustic guitars produced within the past 50 years, this humble and affordable model has been continuously improved over the years to ensure that it bears nothing but supreme build quality and sound, and all according to Yamaha's own strict standards.

Bracing, Neck, Body & Binding

The FG820 II is the natural evolution of the FG720, and one of the most striking enhancements lies in the scalloped bracing beneath the soundboard. This seemingly minor tweak is exactly what shapes the resonance and here, combines with the solid soundboard to give the bass and mid-range more pronounced projection and a powerful acoustic sound. The neck has also been further refined with a slimmer shape and more rounded fretboard edges, leading to elevated playing comfort, and when compared to the slightly cheaper FG800, the FG820 has the stronger, warmer sound provided by the mahogany back and sides (instead of nato), all sealed with cream binding.
