Yamaha P-125WH Digital Piano (White)

General

The P-125 is the follow-up to Yamaha's popular P-115 digital piano. As you'd expect, this model has even more functions on board, giving you even more possibilities. It has 24 sounds, including samples from Yamaha's renowned CF III concert grand piano. There are 20 built-in accompaniment rhythms as well, with styles ranging from pop to rock to jazz. The P-125 has 88 graded hammer standard keys that respond just like those on an acoustic piano with the lower notes being more heavily weighted than the upper ones. The housing is compact and stylish and the P-125 is easy to use as well. A stand and pedal unit are available separately.

Outstanding sound

This digital piano has a built-in 2-way speaker system that produces sound in both upwards and downwards directions to replicate the same audio characteristics you get when playing an acoustic piano. It also has a new Table EQ function that provides optimal acoustics when it's placed on a hard surface. There are two headphone sockets on board as well that can be used when you don't want the sound to go through the speakers, which can come in handy during lessons.

Functions and possibilities

Another function that can come in handy during lessons is the Dual mode that splits the keyboard in two with each side having the same sound. Layer mode gives you the option to play multiple sounds at once and Split mode lets you play different instruments with the left and right hands. You can also add effects like reverb, intelligent acoustic control, damper resonance and sound boost. For players who own an iOS device, many of the P-125's functions can controlled using the Smart Pianist app that's free to download.
