Transform a single channel amplifier into a three-channel tone machine by simply adding the Blackstar HT-Dual. This tube-driven distortion stompbox provides two independent channels, the first of which is kept clean to offer a boost and can be crunched for a nice, light drive. The second channel, meanwhile, gives you that much coveted high-gain tube distortion via a very real 12AX7 tube pushed to high voltage to shape the natural feeling sound and dynamic overdrive of a real tube amplifier. This fire-spitting pedal operates at 22 Volts and comes with a power supply included.

The Two Versatile Faces of the Blackstar HT-Dual

Channel 1 can be pushed from squeaky-clean to clean with a nice crunch around the edges. Hit the crunch button and you fall into classic blues and rock territory. Channel 2 begins where the first channel leads off; with a super-crunch that can swing dangerously towards a violent crack with more distortion than you're ever going to need. Both channels come with dedicated and stacked gain and volume controls, and share an EQ section that offers control over the bass, middle, and treble. Blackstar's very own patented ISF control has also been included, so you can scroll through the distortion that characterised British amps, (like Voc, Marshall, etc.) and then cross the pond to a more American flavoured tone (Fender, Mesa Boogie etc.) and everything in between. It's this extensive tonal range that makes the HT-Dual so incredible surprising, while the clean control panel makes it effortlessly simple and intuitive when shaping your bespoke, pro-grade sound.

Buffered Bypass Signal and Emulated-Out

Besides the standard-issue output, the HT-Dual also comes fitted with an output complete with speaker emulation so that your dialed-in sound can be sent directly to a computer or recording desk, making things much easier at home or in the studio. This special output can even be connected directly to a live mixing desk or PA, and essentially simulates the coloration created by a speaker cabinet while removing the unwanted hiss from the treble, and without compromising on clarity. To finish, the HT-Dual comes loaded with a high-quality buffered bypass circuit to ensure noise-free switching, and that no signal or tone is lost when it's switched off.
